Annie Dean Dozier was born to the late Willie Johnson and Callie Rhines in Abbeville, AL. She exchanged time for eternity on Sunday, January 26, 2020 peacefully at Southeast Hospital. She was preceded in eternal rest by two sons: Billy R. Dozier and James H. Dozier and two daughters: Barbara A. Dozier (Christmas) and Margaret A. Dozier.
She accepted Christ as her savior as a young child while attending Little Rocky Mount Freewill Baptist Church in Headland, AL. Later she was united in Holy Matrimony Oct. 17, 1952 to Huey Lee Dozier and in the union 15 children were born. They later moved to Dothan, AL and she became a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.
Annie attended the Henry County Schools System. After she completed school, she stayed home so that she could nurture and raise her children. Annie was one that wanted to make sure that each night her children were in bed at home. She needed to know that they were tucked in by herself. Her children were her heartbeat. She loved going to church and mostly gospel productions. She would prepare all week so that she would be able to enjoy the gathering of gospel artists on Sunday afternoons. Oh and when it was over, she had to buy the CD. Her love and devotion to God and her children were unconditional. When her children would return home after they were grown, those were some of the most favorable times of her life. She cherished the moments of cooking, taking pictures and loving on her children.
After her health began to worsen, she would always find enough strength to spend time with her children and never forgot to inform them that she loved them dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mr. Huey L. Dozier; eleven children: Huey Dozier, Johnny Dozier, Jimmy Dozier of Dothan, AL, Sharon (Charles) Houston of Montgomery, AL, Patricia Turner of Atlanta, GA, Tammy Dozier of Dothan, AL, Pamela Wilson of New Jersey, Jacqueline Dozier, Christopher Dozier, Maurice (Anna) Dozier, and Tina McGlown of Dothan, AL; four brothers: Linwood Rhines of Whiteville, NC, David Rhines, James (Camellia) Johnson, and Willie Johnson of Dothan, AL; two sisters: Willie Ruth Berry and Sylvia Turner of Dothan, AL. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory thirty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and in addition to endless relatives and friends,
