Florida Johnson

Miss Florida "Lil Mother" Johnson departed this life on Thursday, August 18, 2011 in DeRidder, Louisiana.  She was 100.     Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 26th at Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Harold McKissic officiating and Unity Funeral Home directing.  She will be laid to rest in St. John Baptist Church cemetery in Gordon, Alabama.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.     Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Mary Johnson; three children, Christine Wilson, Ernestine Saffold and Albert Saffold; and two grandsons Beauford Wilson, Jr. and Charles Saffold.  Survivors include her grandchildren, Mary Scott and Michael Wilson (Julie) of Houston, Texas; Martha Wilson of Newark, New Jersey; Bessie Elliott (Preston), Elder Linda Lewis, Cynthia Simon, and Anthony Wilson all of Dothan, Alabama; Mary Saffold and Dale Saffold of DeRidder, Louisiana; Richard Saffold (Clara), Maline "Lu" Williams (Oscar), Bernice Fitzgerald all of Apopka, Florida; and Lola "Faye" Barkley (Gabriel) of Orlando, Florida, thirty-two great grandchildren,  fifty-seven great-great grandchildren, and eighteen great great great grandchildren, two special godchildren Jeanette Jackson and Cleveland Lily; and a host of loving friends.
