Hosea Armstrong Jr., affectionally known as “Deacon Armstrong” and “Papa Hosea” was born on January 1, 1932, the only child to Laura Conner and Hosea Armstrong Sr. in Dothan, AL. He lived his early life there until joining the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War. After serving his tour, he was honorably discharged and moved to Harlem, NY. It was there where he embarked on 25 years with Union Railroad. Upon his retirement he relocated back to Dothan, AL. In 2007 he was united in Holy matrimony to Mary White.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Laura Conner and his son Todd Joseph Armstrong.
Survivors include his beautiful wife: Mary White Armstrong,
four beautiful daughters: Olivia Armstrong, Upstate New York, Diana Hall, Pennsylvania, Cheryl Ann Holloway (Clifford) of Del Rio, TX. Delores Ware, Panama City, Florida.
Six handsome sons: Hosea Armstrong III, Harlem, NY., Derrick Armstrong, Brooklyn, NY., Victor Lawrence, Harlem NY., Theodore Lawrence, Anthony Lawrence, Baltimore, MD., Rev. Dr. Kenneth K. Robinson Long Beach ,CA., and a dear god son, Tommy Grubbs, Dothan, AL.
His legacy continues with grandkids, great grandkids, great great grandkids, a host of nieces, nephews and lastly a dear friend, sister Lillie Young.
