Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Maphis, 50, resident of Campbellton, FL, passed away Friday January 20, 2012 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Jeffrey was born in Elmira, NY on December 25, 1961, predeceased father Wilmer "Jim" Maphis (Fern) of Port Charlotte FL. and survived by mother Shirley Maphis Fraboni (Benjamin) deceased of Dundee, FL. He was survived by his fiancé Kimberly Deboer of Campbellton, FL., a daughter Amanda Maphis and step daughter Kristy Turner both of Cortland, NY., a son Andrew Donlon of Troy, NY., one brother Joseph Maphis of Elmira, NY., two sisters Carlotta Wilson (Ronald) of Alpine NY., and Renee Hust (Mark) of Whitney Point NY., half sister Cindylou Scott (Mark) of Nicholson, PA., three step sisters Evelyn Fletcher (Richard) of Greenville, OH, Janice "J.C." Konier (Frank) of Lanexa, VA, Marcy Crom of Jacksonville, NC. one step brother Mark Williams (Pegi) of North Syracuse NY., six grandchildren, seven nieces, four nephews, seven great nieces and seven great nephews. His favorite pastime was racing. He loved racing and most of his conversation were about racing. His car was Lucky number 13. Jeff and Kimberly were planning a summer wedding before his passing. Jeff was preceded in death by a brother James Lee Maphis who died unexpectedly Nov. 2, 1976 and his father Wilmer "Jim" Maphis July 29, 2005 due to illness. There are plans for a celebration of his life and memorial service in July. We will have more details at a later date.
