Lorenzo Smith

Lorenzo Smith was born in Dale County on August 22, 1950 to his proud parents Johnnie (Bernice) Smith.

Lorenzo was the first born of eight children. Lorenzo was loved and known by many for his guitar playing, music and spreading laughter to his family and friends. Everywhere he went, someone would ask him to play a tune. He never met a stranger and his presence was always known wherever he went. He will be missed by many, especially his family.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by both his parents, Johnnie (Bernice) Smith; one of seven siblings, Johnnie Fredrick Smith; four nephews, Mario Casey, Cornelius Drinkard, Marquise Smith and Artonio Arnez Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Betty Jean Smith; one son, Johnnie Smith; one grandson, Rakeem Smith; one great-granddaughter, Sevyn Smith; sisters, Nina (Frazier) Casey, Anetha (Marshall) Drinkard, Connie Smith, Susan (Douglas) Jones; brothers, Apostle Harry L. Smith, Leedon (Jennifer) Smith; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends, a special dear brother and best friend Marshall.
