Marsha Trevania Shipman

Marsha Shipman (July 4, 1962-May 16, 2023)

Marsha Trevania Shipman, age 60, devoted mother of two, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at Emory University Hospital. Marsha was born in 1962 in Dothan, AL to Betty and Clyde Shipman, Jr. She attended Northview High School and graduated with the class of 1980.

Marsha married Lloyd Wilson in 1991, and from this union came her two children, Victoria and Lloyd Joshua. As a mother she was dedicated, loving, and a strong role model.

Marsha earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from Nazareth College. In 2019, she earned her Master of Social Work degree from Troy University. Marsha had a passion for empowering people and was an advocate for her clients. She was also a faithful member of the usher board at Total Restoration Church. She always looked forward to participating in various ministries and volunteered to serve her church family in any capacity. Her friends and family will always cherish their memories of Marsha.

Survivors include her children Victoria and Lloyd Joshua; her mother Betty Shipman; her sisters Danita Robinson, Sonja Shipman, and Erika Shipman; her brothers Derwin Shipman and Thomas Shipman; her nieces Alexis Robinson, Nia Robinson, and Elise Shipman; and her nephew Brandon Robinson; and a host of relatives and friends.
