Mary Virginia Lee

Ms. Mary Virginia Lee (affectionally known as Duke Mama) was born on April 17, 1948 to the late Huey Lee Sr. and Roberta Gordon.  She was born and raised in Gordon, Al and joined Mt. Nebo  Baptist Church at an early age. Duke Mama was full of dancing, jokes, laughter and love.  She was a very humble person who loved her gospel music, grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Carmen Lee and Charles Lee Sr., daughter: Virginia Ann Lee, granddaughter: Tamesha Lee and special friend: Willie C. Baxter.

Her sweet memories will forever be cherished by her daughter: Irma (Lonnie) Allen of Pansey, AL., four sons: Edward (Shan) Lee Ashford, AL., Larry Lee of Gordon, AL., David  Lee of Miami, FL., Christopher Lee of Dothan, AL., three sisters: Etta Pender of Gordon, AL., Betty (Tyler) Peterson, Lula Baxter of Malone, FL., one brother: Huey (Edna) Lee of Gordon, AL., eighteen grandkids,  twenty great grandkids, a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
