Minister Shirley Ann Bailey 55, went home to be
with Her Lord And Savior Jesus christ on July 29, 2021. She
was born June 6, 1966, in Ozark, Alabama to the late John (Duke) Henry Bailey
and Annie Will Bailey of Ozark AL.
From being outdoors with friends on King Street to
riding bikes on Sugar Hill, Shirley truly enjoyed her youth. Shirley gave her
life to the Lord at an early age. In 1973, she was baptized at First Missionary
Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Carroll High School, class of 1984.
Following graduation, she attended Enterprise
State Community College on a basketball scholarship and later went on to earn
her Airframe and PowerPlant Certificate from Alabama Aviation College. Shirley
was an ordained minister and faithful servant of the Lord.
Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother. She
enjoyed playing Women’s Basketball and Softball, sewing, traveling, and
directing the church choir. She was also a prayer warrior who would pray with
you through anything. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all
who knew her.
Shirley is preceded in death by her father, John
(Duke) Henry Bailey and granddaughter, Zoey Bailey. She is survived by her son,
Carlos Bailey (Shanell); daughters, Shanice and Tia Faleru; six grandchildren,
Harmony Faleru, Carlos Bailey, Jr, Neveah Faleru, Cherish Shipman, Amir
Hendricks, Nia Bailey. Five Sisters, Dorean Jean (Will); Carolyn Bailey;
Patrina Bailey Boykin (Raymond); Annie Mae Paige (Demetrius); Sharese Bailey
and many nieces and nephews.
