Mr. Marion Oshawn Ward

Marion Oshawn Taylor Ward was born on July 6, 1959 to the late Marion Taylor and Betty Ward Taylor. Marion was later raised by his grandmother Jeanie Ward who has preceded him in death. Marion was raised in Allen Temple Church of God In Christ where he gave his life to the Lord at an early age. Marion

enjoyed going to church and love playing the drums while being apart of the church. Later Marion wanted to do many of things but painting and being a DJ was his passion. Marion begin to DJ at many places where he later went by the name “DJ Hollywood”. Those that really knew DJ Hollywood he didn’t have to be booked he would walk into a room and take the mic because he had a voice that would “Rock the House”. If he knew you well you know your name was called out on the mic. Marion was a kind and loving person always laughing and kept a smile on his face. He loved his family, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed people and loved sharing a word with anyone. Marion loved mentoring to young men and helping where he was needed. Marion was a loving and devoted father to his five children and his love and dedication to his family and friends will forever be missed but never forgotten. Marion was preceded in death by both parents: Marion Taylor and Betty Ward Taylor; grandmother, Jeanie Ward; one son, Marion Oshawn Taylor Jr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his five children: Yoli Taylor, Candice Taylor (Rodney) Stuckey, Marion (Latonia) Walker, Rashida (Alton) Rivers, and Cedarius Taylor; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
