Mr. Roosevelt Greenwood

Roosevelt Greenwood was born November 6, 1949 to the late Samuel and Bernice Greenwood.

Roosevelt joined Greenvalley Baptist Church (Bayspring Community) and was baptized at an early age. He attended Spann Elementary, Bayspring, AL and E.R. Grimsley High in Ashford, AL. He enjoyed playing baseball where he and his brothers challenged one another constantly as team mates.

Roosevelt retired from the City of Dothan after 20 years as a meter reader. Roosevelt served the

community with kindness and respect shown to

everyone he encountered. After retirement, Roosevelt joined the Comcast Cable Company where he served as a cable technician.

He was preceded in death by his son Victor

Greenwood; sisters: Jewel, Johnnie, Marie, Sarah, Nancy, Bessie, and Voidean; brothers: Cleveland,

Harold, Lamar, Billy Ray, and Glenn.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memories two

daughters: Felicia Koonce (Darren) of Dothan, AL and Tamara Greenwood of Douglasville, GA; one

sister, Betty Sue Underwood of Dothan, AL; three grandsons: Christopher Trawick of Jacksonville, FL, Stephen Trawick of Dothan, AL, and Vienta

Greenwood of Dothan, AL; two great grandsons: Tyler and Elijah Trawick of Dothan, AL; one brother-in-law, Henry Everheart; two sisters-in-law: Patsy Greenwood and Barbara Greenwood; one special niece, Bernice Chambers; two special friends: Joel Coleman, Willie Lewis, and a host of other relatives and friends.
