Anna Marie Walker Huntington departed this life on May 12, 2020. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Born on March 5, 1950, she was the beautiful daughter of the late Leroy and Marie Walker. She graduated from the 1969 Class of Carver High School. She continued her contact with her classmates by attending several class reunions throughout her life. She enjoyed life and she lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially going out to events and social functions. “Ree” as everyone called her was a very affectionate person. She was an avid caregiver up until she became ill. She loved helping anybody even taking people in her home if they needed somewhere to go. She was the neighborhood “Grandma”. She had a passion for painting rocks and she would always set them up for display and whenever any of her friends or family would come around, she would always show then her new Rock Painting. In 1986, she received her cosmetology certificate. In 1970, she received her printing certificate.
Anna Marie was very devoted to her Faith in Jehovah and was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness. She was baptized on April 14, 2014 and enjoyed serving throughout the community in her Faith of Jehovah.
Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Leroy and Marie Walker; her husband, Johnny Huntington; brothers: James, Tommie, Cleveland, Clarence and Glenn Walker; sister, Lillie Bell Walker and a step son, David Huntington.
She leaves to cherish and carry on her beloved memories a beloved and devoted daughter, Pandra Sharia Grubbs (Derrick); son, Baron Huntington; a stepson, Jerome (Denise) Huntington; stepdaughters: Joyce Ann Simmons and Beverly Settle; four beautiful grandchildren; three beautiful great grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin Joe (Jackie) Helms; sisters: Annie Bell Freeman Robinson, Lula (Charles) McGriff, Alberta (Michael) Huntington and Miranda Williams; sisters-in-law: Dorothy, Addie, Gilda Walker and Mavis Walker; special cousins: Rosa Thomas, Henry Ardis, and Joann Long; special friends that she shared a gracious bond with are Annie Severson, Pauline Phillips, Rose Weems, Mary Weems, and Kathy Haynes and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who adored her.
