Pearline Stovall Collins of Dothan, Alabama was born to Charlie and Gussie Jones Stovall in Headland, Alabama on Sunday, February 3, 1929. Pearline was the third child of fifteen children. At a young age, Pearline professed Christ and was baptized and joined Freewill Baptist Church in Headland Alabama.
On April of 1945, Pearline was united in Holy Matrimony to Grady Collins, Sr. To this union six children were born. Pearline and her family relocated to Hollywood Florida in 1951. After the passing of Grady Sr., she moved to Dothan Alabama where she joined North Highland Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.H. Higgins.
Pearline had a quite and caring spirit and she enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her fried chicken, collards, field peas, and cornbread. Whenever family would visit they all wanted to stay with "Aunt Pearl" as she was affectionately called. Her home was open to all who needed a place to stay. She was loving and compassionate and a special gift to her family and community. To be in her presence was a blessing.
Pearline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her only daughter, Rose Collins; sons: Robert Collins Sr., Frank Collins, James Willie Collins Sr., and Grady Collins.
God saw you were getting tired, when a cure was not to be, so He wrapped His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". Pearline transition from her earthly home to her Heavenly Father's home on Monday, July 13, 2020 at home.
