Mrs. Willie Ester (Underwood) Holland

Willie Esther Holland was born on March 1, 1934 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Lonnie and Lucille Salter Underwoos. She was the oldest of eight siblings.

Esther united with Smithville Baptist Church during her younger years and was later a frequent vistor at North Highland Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama. She obtained her education in the Houston County School System.

Esther met and married Elston Holland and to this union one son, Michael Anthony was born. She worked many years in the janitorial business hiring many people young people to work with her. Her longest tenure was at Polyengineering in Dothan, Alabama.

Esther was preceded in death by both parents, her brothers: J.C. Underwood, John C. Underwood, Lester Underwood and sisters: Eloise Potter, Lettie B. Harris and Lanette France.

Esther leaves to cherish her memory one son, Michael Holland of California; one brother, Nathaniel (Angela) Underwood of Dothan, AL; grandchildren: Shirley Butler, Michael a.k.a. Lil Mike Holland, Ahmed (Karen) Anderson, and Kamal Russaw along with great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a long time friend, Ms. Madeline Nelson.
