Mrs. Janet Bryant Thornton was born March 13, 1976 in Newville, AL to the late Irene Lewis Bryant and James King.

She was preceded in death by her    husband Robert Lee Thornton; mother, Irene Lewis Bryant; father, James King; great grandmother, Annie Mavue Lewis; great grandfather, Archie Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memories three loving and  devoted daughters: Jarvaneschia Thornton (Darius), Brittany Thornton (Emmanuel), and Tiffany Thornton (Telly); one granddaughter, Ma’Kenzie M. McKisseth; three sisters: Cynthia (Russell) Davis, Annie (Jaimea) Henrriquez, and Jamie (Bobby) Benton; three brothers: Dexter (Jackie) Bryant, Michael (Melinda) Bryant, and Clint (Felicia) Bryant; one uncle, Terry (Debra) Lewis; great aunt, Marvette Rivers; three extended sisters:  Mavis King Simpson, Bernid Dunlap, and Annie Pearl (J.D.) Knight Carroll; seven extended brothers: Gary Charles King, Tyrone King, Ezekiel King, Edward Earl (Jerldean Corbitt) King, Bryon King, Bernard King, and James King Jr,; mother-in-law, Jessie M. Thornton;  seven sisters-in-law: Mary (Johnny) Tillman, Shirley (James) Williams, Diane (Chris) Lee, Tasha (Thomas) Craig, Debra Thornton, Lisa Thornton, and Latoria Thornton; six  brothers-in-law: Eddie Wells, Ben Thornton, Willie F. (Amanda) Thornton, Johnnie Thornton, Kelvin (Susie) Thornton, and Zachery Thornton; five special friends: Chawanna Bigham, Marsha Thornton, Earnestine Durry, Tesea McCree and Delisa Ruffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
