Ms. Janie Mae Hicks

Janie Mae Hicks was born on November 16, 1936 to George Grimsley Sr. and Lola Mae Grimsley In Houston County AL. She was the 6th child of 15 children. She attended Columbia High School in Columbia AL. Where she played basketball for a short while. Her passion was sewing she was employed at Wex Tex of Ashford and Dothan for many years until they closed. Her faith was strong she became a Jehovah Witness in 1978. Her favorite saying was“ PUT IT IN JEHOVAH HANDS”.She is preceded in death by her Parents George Sr and Lola Grimsley 11 siblings and 2 husbands George Wright Jr. and Samuel Hicks Sr. she leaves to cherish her memories with her 5 children Samuel Hicks Jr. (Lisa Reeves) ;Linda Mae Grace (Derry Grace); Charles Hicks (Sharon); Regina Hicks Knight (Anthony) Brenda Hicks. 10 Grandchildren Kenny (Brittany); Justin (His mom Annette); Jasmine (Pershawn) Desiree; Tyshawn; Antwone; Taleia;  Tamea; Manny; Jaylen; Liza.  An 4 Great grand children  Malich; Ayden; Tristan; and Carter.
