Obituary
Peggy Ann Mullins was born on July 11, 1943 in Brundidge, AL to the late Willie Henry Mullins and Frances Ella Harvey Mullins. At an early age she joined St. Mathis Baptist Church. Peggy attended Ashford High School. She later met and married the late Willie C. “Lil Buddy” Curry and to this union three children were born. She relocated to New York and resided there approximately 15 years before returning back to Dothan, AL. She was employed by GTE Telephone Co. as an operator, Southeast AL Medical Center as a certified nursing assistant, USA Trucking Co as a truck driver and Eye Center South in purchasing until retiring to care for her mother. She was a caregiver for her mother for 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Mullins and Frances and David Johnson; sister, Loretta Williams; brothers: Lorenza Mullins, Larry and Michael Johnson; aunts: Bobbie Morris, Raynella Frazier and Doris Coleman; uncle, Randolph Frazier; nephews: Robert Redden, Jermaine Wade, Michael Saffold, David Williams and Bobby Saffold.
She leaves to cherish loving memories sons: Jay, Jeffrey and Jerry “Pete” Curry all of Dothan, AL; grandchildren: Shekiera Curry of Midland City, AL, Desmond Curry of AZ, Keevin Curry of Dothan, AL, Brenden and Tahbyez Ramirez of AZ; great grandchildren: Makaila and Makel Corbitt of Midland City, AL, Karson Hawkins of Dothan, AL and Aubrey Bell; sisters: Gainsetta Myrill of Irvington, NJ, Mittie (Johnny) Barber, Priscilla (Henry) Redden of Dothan, AL and Althea Stark (Gene) of NC; brothers: William (Janice) Mullins of Dothan, AL, Harvey Jerome (Soungia) Mullins of Dothan, AL, and Kevin Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; uncle, Alvin Harris of Stockbridge, GA; sisters-in-law: Pamela Watson of NJ and Emily Faye Mullins of Dothan, AL; special friends/family: Mary McKinney, Alja Curry, Erica Ramirez, Shelia, Beverly and Phyllis Hollis, Glenda Pryor, Bessie Mae Elliott, Samuel Newsome, James Carroll, Rhonda Henry Ardis, Emma Buggs, Bobbie Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
