Sister Lalia Mae Smith

Lalia Mae McLeod was born in Ozark, Al on December 31, 1955 to Maggie Mae McLeod and took her rest from her earthy home on Monday, February 28, 2022 after a brief Battle with pancreatic cancer. Lalia married Mitchel William Smith and to this union 2 beautiful daughters were born:  Mechell Denise and Gloria Irona “Whicky Doo”.  Lalia will be most remembered For her loving and always unifying family as well as her caring and compassionate service to other though love, words and amazing . Lalia leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughters:  Mechell (Kevin) Philips, Gloria (Deitrich) Edwards and a given daughter A. Carol Dawkins Six grand children: Kayla Edwards, Ashley Smith-Cooper, Aaliyah Smith-Cooper, D. Keon Edwards Jr., Kylee Smith and Yasmine McKinney;  four great grand children: Aubrii Mills, Aeris Mills, Paxton Baldwin and Kannon Dawkins; one sister Mary King;  four brothers Willie McLeod, Roy James Jr., Ronnie (Vernita) James and Harvey Wells, All of Ozark, Al.  A faithful, loving sister-in-law and friend, Elnora Smith-Killings;  and a number of nieces, nephews, church family and devoted longtime friends.
